i-PhD innovation challenge, Amélie GODARD winner and Grand Prize

During her thesis work at the ICMUB laboratory in Dijon, Amélie GODARD was interested in the fight against cancer via the development of molecules based on aza-BODIPYs for fluorescence-assisted surgery. This work having been patented, she was able to pursue her research within the framework of an 18-month maturation project with the IAB laboratory and financed by the SATT Linksium of Grenoble. The objective of this partnership is to be able to develop this work by creating a start-up. It is in this context that she applied for the national i-PhD competition organized by BPI France in partnership with the government. The application, illustrated by a video presentation, aimed to prove the innovative character and the potential of the FLUONIR-II project. This enabled her to be granted of the great prize of the competition, which was given at the city of Sciences of Paris in the presence of the minister of the higher education and the research, Mrs Sylvie Retailleau. Mrs Godard will thus be able to benefit from a one-year accompaniment to learn more about business management and increase her visibility at the national level, which will contribute to seduce potential investors. This also makes the project eligible for a FrenchTech grant in case of company creation.
