Prof. Kerstin Forsberg (KTH - Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden) will give a lecture entitled: "Chemical Engineering for Resource Recovery at KTH".
Abstract: Creating environmentally and economically sustainable processes for resource recovery from primary and secondary raw materials is one of the challenges in a circular economy. Our team at the Division of Resource Recovery at KTH has expertise in separation processes, in particular crystallization and precipitation. We carry out research aiming at strengthening the development of novel techniques and processes for resource recovery and waste minimization. Current activities include e.g. the recycling of lithium-ion batteries and magnet waste and valorisation of bauxite residues.
