Cooperative effect: cleavage and synthetic applications of Cp ligands and C-N triple bonds

Selective cleavage of chemical bonds mediated or catalyzed by transition metals has been considered as the next generation process for construction of C-C and C-heteroatom bonds which finally lead to complex and functional compounds. Multicomponent one-pot process involving several reagents has become a very useful strategy for fast and efficient synthesis of complicated molecules. New, diversified and powerful synthetic methodologies can be expected from a combination of the above mentioned two useful strategies. This lecture reports cleavage and synthetic applications of several unreactive chemical bonds including Cp ligands and C-N triple bonds.
